Volvo Offset Centre Bolt

APVCB - 2.0mm, 4.0mm

All SafeTSteer products are designed and intended to be used by appropriately qualified personnel.

Always work safely.

The Volvo offset centre bolt allows for the adjustment of misaligned drive axles. There is no adjustment available as standard on the suspension.

1. Carry out wheel alignment on both drive axles and record the readings.

2. Ascertain the amount of correction that is required for each axle.

N.B. Both axles may not require adjustment. The Offset Centre Bolt can be fitted to either side of the axle.

3. Support the chassis using appropriate "safety stands".

4. Undo the air bag mount from the spring assembly.

5. Support the spring assembly and undo the u-bolts.

6. Lower the spring assembly.

7. Remove the original centre bolt, fit the new selected Offset Centre Bolt and tighten. Cut centre bolt to the desired length. The axle will move in the direction of the offset.

8. Raise the spring assembly and locate the axle on the centre bolt.

9. Refit u-bolts and tighten.

10. Refit airbag mount and tighten.

11. Remove safety stands and check alignment readings and record.
